Now Share Photos to Instagram from your PC

Post or Upload your best Photos to Instagram directly from your Local Hard drive on PC, no need of a smartphone, never mind if those Pictures are taken by a Digital Camera.

About Instagram by Instagram, "Instagram is a fun and quirky way to share your life with friends through a series of pictures. Snap a photo with your mobile phone, then choose a filter to transform the image into a memory to keep around forever. We're building Instagram to allow you to experience moments in your friends' lives through pictures as they happen. We imagine a world more connected through photos."

Never mind if you don't have a smartphone to install Instagram app on it, and capture photos and then upload the best ones to Instagram and share with your friends. Now you can upload every Photo of your choice from your Local Hard Drive on your PC, without having any problem nor breaking Terms & Laws of  the Service.

All you need a PC having photos you want to share on Instagram. By following my steps, first thing first, WE ARE GOING TO INSTALL ANDROID APP PLAYER ON YOUR PC to enable to download and install Instagram, and have a fun. If you agree, follow me.

I don't know very much about Android app players, but I will suggest you the one I tried and currently in use on my PC.

First you can see my Profile on Instagram, I upload all these photos from my PC using Android App Player called BlueStacks App Player  (http://www.instagram.com/shafky).

Here is a short introduction about BlueStacks App Player, "BlueStacks App Player lets you run apps from your phone fast and full screen on Windows and Mac".

Time to go ahead, Download and Install BlueStacks App Player on your PC, (available for both PC & Mac), but I only can guide PC users, as I am a PC user.

You should use Instagram App before, or you should know about Android platform to how to download apps from Google Play Store, so I will go further, but if you still having problem against BlueStacks Apps Player installation, you can ask BlueStacks App Player help forum here (https://getsatisfaction.com/bstk).

You need a Google account to connect and sync with Google Play Store. Another thing you should know about BlueStacks App Player that some people having problem with their current location (IP Location) on BlueStacks App Player. If BlueStacks App Player couldn't locate your Local IP Location, don't worry "You still can upload photos of your choice", as this problem is still unsolved from BlueStacks App Player help forum, I also have the same problem and I also contact BlueStacks App Player, but anyhow I can still upload Photos to my Instagram account (but I can't add these photos to Photo Map because my location is not readable by BlueStacks App Player, I don't care, I only need to upload pictures to my Instagram, and that's all).

1. After successfully downloading and installing both BlueStacks App Player on your PC and Instagram app on App Player, you almost done but time to change some Registry keys so your App Player can find your photos on your local hard drive from your PC.

2. I'm using Windows 7. Go to "Start" and search for "regedit" and press Enter.

3. Registry Editor will open, now inside registry editor go to "HKEY-LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > BlueStacks > Guests > SharedFolder > 1",

4. Right click > Modify... the "Name" string value. Change value data to folder name you want to add to your App player, for example mine is "Wallpapers & Pictures".

5. Again Right click > Modify... the "Path" string value. This time change value data to path of that specific folder, for example mine is "J:\Wallpapers & Pictures".

Same way you can attach more then one folder to BlueStacks App Player by changing the string values of folders named 2 and 3 and 4 etc, inside registry editor (HKEY-LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > BlueStacks > Guests > SharedFolder)

You almost done here, but a last step is...

6. Additionally, you must need an app to reach to the specific folder you attach to your BlueStacks App Player, for this reason I am using "ES File Explorer" you can download it from Google Play Store using BlueStacks App Player and install it.

7. Now open ES File Explorer, go to SD Card and find the folder "bstfolder", open it, inside you will find same folder that we recently attached to BlueStacks App Player (Wallpapers & Pictures), open it and find all your photos inside.

All done, now open Instagram app on your BlueStacks App Player, Log in and upload (or even you can capture photos via your webcam) photos by clicking the gallery button (on right side with camera button in the middle), it will ask you from where to upload a picture, select ES File Explorer > SD Card > bstfolder > Wallpapers & Pictures > and choose a picture you want to upload to your Instagram app.

The technique isn't very complicated nor simple but for me its very important to run Instagram app and upload pictures everytime, as recently I don't have my smartphone.

Hope you will find this article supportive if you can't live without Instagram.

Note: When you open Instagram app on BlueStaks App Player, if you cannot see the middle camera button and other buttons, Go to Setting > Change App Size > and click Default size for Instagram on BlueStacks App Player, as BlueStacks app player support both Tablet & default app sizes.

Control Your PC from a Mobile Device - PC Monitor

Monitor a Laptop or Desktop PC from a Mobile Device

All it takes to get started is a smartphone or tablet, a data plan, the right app, and a few PCs in need of some love and attention.

by Marco Chiappetta - originally published at PC World Magazine

If you are still wasting time trudging over to PCs to perform routine maintenance on them, check for software updates, and power them down at night, you haven't gotten with the program. Here's how to check on your PCs from anywhere, and save your business both time and money.

Get started: A number of remote PC management utilities are available, but we'll focus on an excellent tool called PC Monitor (www.mobilepcmonitor.com), which is free for three PCs. It works with Android, iOS, and Windows Phone OSs, as well as with Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux.

Install PC Monitor: Installing and configuring PC Monitor requires just a few steps, and the default setup options should be sufficient. Install the appropriate application on each system that you want to monitor.

The first time you launch the PC Monitor Manager, it will prompt you to create an account for connecting your PCs to your mobile devices (or for monitoring the systems via the Web). At your first login, enter a computer name and a group name for the system.

Customize your counters: To configure a custom monitor or counter (for CPU use, say), click the System tab, and work your way through the tabs in the pane: General, Services, Network, and so on. The Schedule Tasks tab lets you enable the monitor simply by ticking a task. Under the Performance Counters tab in the System pane, you can set up custom counters based on criteria that you specify.

Set up notification alerts: To get the most from PC Monitor and to have it notify you the moment something critical occurs, click the program's Notifications tab, and then click through the tabs in the resulting Notifications pane, enabling appropriate alerts as you go. These alerts may include when the computer starts up or shuts down, when particular users sign on, when someone plugs in a removable drive, or when a processor begins to overheat. More advanced notification options may require you to set up rules manually.

PC Monitor (Image Courtesy PC Monitor)

Grab the PC Monitor mobile app: After installing the PC Monitor app on the relevant PCs, you must install and configure the companion mobile app on your mobile devices.

Select a PC: Upon signing in to PC Monitor, you should see a list of your systems. Tap a system name in the list to bring up an overview of the system.

Monitor your PC from your couch: If you've enabled notifications already, all that remains is to explore the mobile app for monitoring and managing your systems. PC Monitor will send alerts if necessary, but the mobile app also provides real-time data.

After you tap a system name in the left pane of the app, the right pane will become populated with system details and buttons for performing various tasks, including such options as opening a command prompt, checking for OS updates, and restarting the monitored system. In addition, you can use the PC Monitor mobile app to send messages back to the associated desktop PC, if you want to alert the PC's user.

After the application is installed on a system, the PC Monitor service runs in the background. During our testing, the service rarely, if ever, consumed a detectable amount of CPU time, and it used no more than 44MB of RAM.

The LaptopLock - Free Tracking and Data Protection Solutions

The LaptopLock is a tracking software,  A free package offering a solid basis for your own security solution.

LaptopLock is a free offering that eschews a fancy interface for a simple, no-frills look. Signing up for the service is quick, you simply need to enter your email address and a password, and you're taken straight to the online control panel. From here you can add a computer, giving it a name for easy reference. From this page you can download software.

During installation you can choose whether or not show a splash screen when the laptop starts up - it's nice that you're given the choice.

There are no tracking features with this program, so ideally it should be installed alongside a free service that does, such as Prey. What LaptopLock concentrates on is protecting your data if your laptop is lost or stolen; and is broken into three parts. The first security - here you can select the data you want LaptopLock to delete if you flag up your laptop as stolen via the web interface.

Choosing the files and folders is very easy, and you can select to securely delete the data, so that data recovery tools can't access it. If you're not too keen on the scorched earth policy, you can choose to encrypt the files instead.

The second part is notifications. You can select to show a message or play a sound when the missing laptop is in use. The final part is that you can select a program to launch when the laptop is reported stolen - a good chance to run a tracking program, or activate your webcam and upload the photos it takes. The laptop can also be marked as stolen, notifying a recovery team that will begin collecting evidence to hand over to the police. LaptopLock might appear simple, but with it you can make your own laptop security solution.

3 Massive Apps for HTC Explorer

HTC Explorer: A low budget Android Smartphone, Running on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, having HTC Sense 3.5 and 3.2inch HVGA resolution Touch-Screen.

3 Massive Apps for HTC ExplorerA very common low memory notification is a serious headache for HTC Explorer users specially for social-networks geeks. Whenever you try to download more than two or three apps from Google Play Store, that notification will warn you every time that you are using a low budget smartphone with a low internal memory.

There is an option to move apps to SD Card, but apps like Facebook and Twitter causing a big trouble as they do not have a move to SD Card option and they are very big on memory also.

Performance-wise the HTC Explorer is superb, with 600MHz of processor it gives a much high-end output every time. But the problem is to choose apps, which will gently fits in HTC Explorers limited memory, to resist its low memory notification.

These three social networking apps will not effect too much on HTC Explorers memory as they can be easily move to SD Card to wipe up some additional internal storage.

How to Google 2-Steps Verification - Sync With Google Authenticator App

google authGoogle 2-steps verification gives you a total security on all Google apps & services  like Gmail, YouTube, Google Play Store and many other services, by sending you a six digits verification code on your phone or on Google Authenticator app - available for Android, Apple and BlackBerry. This six digit code should be input whenever you log-in to your Google account for verification after you turned on the 2-steps verification.

Besides that, if you are going to log-in and you cant receive a verification code or you dont have any device Google Authenticator app installed on: Google alternatively gives you 10 more backup verification codes you can put them in your wallet or save them to a file on your computer. You can use them when you have no mobile coverage.

After turning on the 2-steps verification - you can use both ways either text messaging or Google Authenticator app to get a six digit verification code for logging into Google services.

Lets how to turn on the Google 2-steps verification on step by step:-

1. You must have a Google account already verified by a text message or by a voice call with your cell phone or a landline number.

2. Go to www.google.com and Sign-in with your current Email address and Password.

3. After log-in to your Google account, on the upper right corner click on your profile picture, and click Account, here you can see all your Account information on the that page.

4. Inside Security tab (showing on left side-bar) you will find 2-steps verification text with an Edit button on the right side (as shown in the picture below) click on Edit. You will prompt for Password again, just type your Password and Sign-in again. Its only for verification this time.

Step-4

5. Now here is the Setup starts. Click on Start Setup to go to next step.

Step-5

6.  The next step is to input your phone number you want to connect with Google services, and choose an option how you want to get a verification code for the next step (Step 7), and click Send Code (the Send Code button is not shown in this picture, but you can find it down the page).

Step-6

7. A text message will be sent from Google to your cell or landline number (you entered in the Step 6) including a six digit verification code. Enter that verification code in the box (as shown below) and click Verify (as the Verify button not shown in the picture again, same like in Step 6).

Step-7

8. On this step Google will ask you if you trust this computer? Trusted computers only asked for verification code once every 30 days. So if this is your single and Personal Computer, you can remain with ticked-mark on this option and click Next, incase this is not your Personal Computer, or you cannot trust on this computer, click in the check box to remove the tick-mark, an option will pop-pup for verification again, and select the option I dont trust this computer and than click Confirm. All done you have successfully turned on the 2-steps verification for Google services, and from now every time you enter a password to log-in to any Google service, you will get a verification code on your phone number via text message.

In the next step (Step 9), see how to access your Google Account with Google Authenticator app.

Step-8

9. All the previous steps were about to how to enable 2-steps verification on Google services? In this step we will show you how to download Google Authenticator app on your Android, Apple or BlackBerry device, and how to use it with Google 2-steps verification?

First of all download any barcode read for your device. Now download Google Authenticator app for your device from the links given below and install it on your device:

Google Play Store

App Store

blackberry app world

**The Google Authenticator for BlackBerry Download link was not found the time we were publishing this article.

After installing the Google Authenticator app for your device, and completing the 2-steps verification process, its time to use Google Authenticator for log-in to Google account.

For Android Users Only:

10. The further steps are the same for all three platforms Android, iOS and BlackBerry. The only difference in-between is use of Google Authenticator app on your device. We will focus on Android app at the moment.

After completing the Step-8 you will referred to this page shown below. Here at the top you will see your phone number with a green tick mark on the left side, which means your phone number is successfully connected with Google services for 2-step verification.

To connect your account with Google Authenticator app open the app on your device, and tap on Add Account. You will find two option to add an account to Google Authenticator, Scan Barcode and Add account manually, select Scan Barcode and the Barcode scanner app will starts. (we have tested ZXING TEAM Barcode Scanner for Android device).

Step-10

To manage application-specific passwords, see the video clip below:

how to manage application-specific passwords using Google 2-step verification.

11. Now on your computer, click on Android (as shown in the image below), it will open another page includes a Barcode. Scan the barcode with your barcode scanner (which was turned on in previous step) and you will find your account in Google Authenticator app on your device, and a 6 digit verification code will appear on your device, put that code in that page down below (as shown in the image below), and click Verify.

Step-11

Its all done and you successfully connect your Google Authenticator app with your Google account. I personally recommend that way to use Google more securely and personally.

This verification code is changing every 30 seconds on Google Authenticator app, which makes your Google account more and more secure. The amazing feature about Google Authenticator app is that its not required any internet connection to update the verification code online, and it totally works in offline mode. You can add more than one account in a single Google Authenticator app.

LibreOffice 3.5 Freeware Office Suite for your Business

A brief theory by PC Pro Magazine

A code overhaul and some necessary updates, but its still a long way behind Microsofts paid suite.

libreoffice3.5-PCSUPPORTER LibreOffice, the free suite spun off after developers lost faith in OpenOffices direction under Oracle, is building up a head of steam with its third major release in only 16 months. With the help of full time and volunteer hackers, The Document Foundation says LibreOffice 3.5 has had its 15 years worth of code renovated with the aim of pulling away from its still-alive ancestor.

This aggressive approach to redevelopment means stability isnt the immediate priority. This new release is recommended only for power users initially, with others advised to remain on the more stable 3.4 branch until kinks have been ironed out. We had one fatal crash during PC Pro testing, but PC Pro readers should be savvy enough not to worry too much. You also cant upgrade from any version before 3.4.5, so you may need to completely uninstall to get 3.5.

Although the majority of the work is hidden beneath the surface, youll notice a few visible changes straight away. LibreOffice finally has an automatic update checker, which sounds a faintly ridiculous introduction in 2012, and it comes in a single MSI installer to make setup as simple as possible, to attract new users. If you were fearing a Microsoft style ribbon overhaul, theres no sign of that, and if youre coming across from Office 2003 things will feel familiar. Its also largely consistent across platforms, with the OS X and Linux toolbars practically identical to Windows.

Writer is the core word processing application, and it comes with an improved built-in grammar checker, a more visual entry method for headers and footers, and a live word count. All are solidly implemented, yet hardly groundbreaking, and the live work count would be more useful if it werent in a separate pop-up dialog. Theres also an automatic word completer on by default, which quickly becomes irritating.

Word file compatibility is good, and we could open the latest Office 2007 & 2010 DOCX files with a range of formatting and styles; some Word specific features such as WordArt objects were lost, however, along with fancier fonts and effects. On the other side, saving a file in DOCX format within Writer saw a few less common fonts and some spacing fail to carry over to Word. Also be aware that if you save and encrypt your file in LibreOffice 3.5, it wont be compatible with version 3.4.4 and earlier since the Blowfish encryption has been replaced by AES.

Calc, LibreOffices alternative to Excel, is a more complex beast, and one that its arguably more important to get right if the whole suite is to tempt users. Some basic but important updates have been made, such as allowing the formula input bar to expand beyond a single line, and adding support for 10,000 sheets in a single file. Theres now no limit on the number of conditional formatting rules you can apply, and the many pop-ups and dialogs are cleaner and easier to navigate.

For the most part Calc apes the layout and feel of Excel, and it does a good job, some would say a better job, given the simpler main toolbar. Our one gripe is the Save icon: were all for finding a replacement for the retro floppy disk, but it isnt immediately obvious what LibreOffices tiny rectangle with a green arrow on top is meant to indicate.

As for the other components, Draw can now import and display Visio documents, and Impress will open the latest PPTX PowerPoint files. It did so with only one or two cosmetic alterations to our test presentations, the core elements were generally present and correct, even if a few of the fills and effects werent. Some new transitions and elements of SmartArt wont appear properly either, but for basic slides Impress is a usable, if uninspiring, application.

The best thing we can say about LibreOffice 3.5 is that its undeniably better than the suite that spawned it, and its wonderful to see a proper movement driving is forward after a time when its future has looked uncertain. Its a perfectly usable collection of software, and if youre already a user of LibreOffice or OpenOffice its a worthy download.

The problem is that although the many updates are welcome, theyre generally updates that any paid office software has had for some time, and theres still a long way to go before LibreOffice gets close to Microsofts beast.

Compatibility is getting much better, and the user experience is steadily improving, but few could argue its entirely intuitive and novice-friendly. And theres the threat of Microsofts free Office Web Apps looming large, too.

If youre looking to leave Office, LibreOffice 3.5 is becoming ever more viable, but it needs to keep going for a few more versions keep going for a few more versions at this rate.

Download Top Productive Apps for Your Gadget

You can be more efficient and boost your productivity with the help of some software designed to help you get your job done on a desktop, laptop or mobile (smartphone) device. By Jill Duffy

Top Productive AppsGadgets and devices are one thing, but the software and apps that runs on them is another, and its at the level of apps and services that we actually get things done.

Today we will make an overview of 4 Top Handy Productive apps for Android and Apple devices.

For Android Devices

Smartr Contacts for Android

Smartr Contacts for Android (free), formerly called Xobni for Android, creates a comprehensive picture of your contacts. Xobni is the company that makes the app, and it has been a relatively big name in contact management. The free app, which requires a Xobni account (also free) gathers your contacts from Gmail or Outlook, and finds additional information about them, including headshots, from Linkdin, Facebook, and Twitter, and meetings or text messages. For keeping up with email from your Android phone, Smartr Contacts can increase your productivity by removing a lot of the legwork that can sometimes be involved in keeping in touch. It orders your connections by how often you communicate, rather than alphabetically. And it handily merges multiple emails, so if you have an outdated email address for someone, but she has uploaded the most recent one to another platform, Smartr can find it.

SugarSync for Android

Android users looking for a way to make their files and photos available from anywhere should definitely check out SugarSync. Its similar to Dropbox, but you get more space, 5GB, with a free account (Dropbox gives you 2GB). When your files are available to you from everywhere and automatically synchronized, you never waste time trying to sort out which version of what file you put where. Some of SubarSyncs goodies are hard to find, and others are hard to use, but for Android users looking for a more full featured alternative to DropBox, SugarSync is a pretty sweet deal.

For Apple Devices

Keynote (for iPhone)

Apples PowerPoint equivalent for iPhone is one of those marvels of software design, allowing you to easily and powerfully create compelling presentations on a device that fits in your pocket. Its a dream for frequent flyers, especially those who are typically headed to a place where they will have to give a presentation or speech.

iWork for iPad

(how to use guide here)

With Apples iWork for iPad suite of office applications, Pages for word processing, Numbers for spreadsheets, and Keybote for presentations, you can do real work on iPad. This tablet version offers only a basic subset of features and functions compared to the high-powered OSX Version of iWork. The iPads cramped on-screen keyboard can slow down productivity, so if youre serious about using the iPad for work, pick the Apple iPad Keyboard Dock ($69 direct), too.

CREATIVITY APPS

For fine editing you will still need to work on a PC, but for basic fixes, this app is fantastic.

NEWS, INFO & REFERENCE APPS

Biblion: The Boundless Encyclopedia

The word biblion was usedin the Middle Ages to describe collections made from fragments of ancient texts. The smartly designed and informative app focuses on the 1939-40 Worlds Fair, but even non-enthusiasts can appreciate the history presented. Top 20 Free Android Apps | Download Now

If you are a long-time Android user,

Some of these apps will look familiar, although in a few cases, the best apps in a certain class arent necessarily the ones that have been most popular for a stretch of time. New comers are supplanting some tried and true favorites.

As Android apps grow, so will our list, so stay tuned for updates to the Blog. http://software-review2010.blogspot.com

Dolphin Browser HD | Download Now

Dolphin browser HD for Android - PC Supporter Dolphin Browser HD is a veritable trickster of a mobile browser. You can change this Android apps look and feel through custom themes, add capability with Add-ons, or even navigate by gesture. When you encounter a pesky mobile site, you can don a disguise, for example, you can masquerade as an iPad to unlock the un-cropped page. Flummoxed by Flash? No more, so long as youre running Dolphin and Android versions 2.2. The browser lacks a full syncing service, but it does support Google Bookmarks.

Google Maps | Download Now

Google Map for Android - PC Supporter Whenever I ask people to name their five favorite Android apps, Google something almost always makes the list. Google Maps may be one of the most popular of the Android apps from Google. A few of its signature features, such as navigation and layers, work better on Android than most other mobile operating systems. Its indispensible for finding addresses, service providers nearby, and just for simply getting around.

Wikidroid for Wikipedia | Download Now

Wikidroid for Wikipedia Looking up information on a smartphone should not only be easy, but also something you do frequently. Otherwise, whats the point of having so much data at your finger tips? Wikidroid pulls articles from Wikipedia and optimizes their display for easy reading and searching from your mobile phone. The app has elegant search functionality, too.

LastPass Password Manager Premium | Download Now

LastPass App for Android - PC Supporter LasPass manages and fills in your user names and passwords for you automatically. Youll only have to remember one password ever again: the one to get into LastPass, so make it strong. Another advantage of using a password manager is it ensures you use a different password for all the sites you visit, as recycling passwords leaves you prone to identity theft and other online crimes.

Wheres My Droid | Download Now

Where's My Droid - PC Supporter How many times have you claimed your phone was stolen, only to find it, days later, wedged between the couch cushions, muffled from ringing loud enough to hear when you called it? If you are prone to losing your phone, Wheres My Droid will put your mind at ease. The app helps people find their lost or stolen Android phones by forcing it to ring at maximum volume or vibrate when the phone receives a text message containing a specified phrase, such as Wheres my Droid? The app can also tell you the phones location, as long as its GPS is enabled.

Dropbox for Android | Download Now

DropBox for Android - PC Supporter If your files live all over the place, your office computer, home desktop, laptop having a dependable syncing program is a must. Dropbox, the service that lets you store your files in the cloud and access them from anywhere you have a signal, fills that role nicely with an Android app. It has a simple interface, easy uploading, and swift syncing across all accounts.

Astrid Task [Todo List] | Download Now

Astrid Task [Todo List] - PC Supporter Many Android users gravitate to Astrid because it is, quite simply, the best list maker and task manager that exist for Android phones. Astrid has all of the features every list-maker needs, including due dates and alarms, and it also conveniently syncs with Google Tasks. Unfortunately, it doesnt sync with Remember the Milk, although it used to.

Yelp for Android | Download Now

Yalp for Android - PC Supporter The most comprehensive review app, Yelp turns out to be a pretty invaluable tool for finding businesses nearby, especially when youre in a town you dont know well. Yelps mobile app has helped me find a hairdresser when I was in a pinch in Washington D.C., and a suitable lunch while driving through Ohio. The quality of the reviews can be touch and go but for finding businesses and services, and vetting out ones that are very poorly received, Yelps the app you need.

Facebook for Android | Download Now

Facebook for Android - PC Supporter Social networks thrive with a reliable app, and Facebook for Android is undeniably solid. The Android app has the quintessential, familiar, Facebook-branded interface, but it also offers some unique functionality thats absent in Facebooks iPhone app. This includes a side-scrolling preview pane of recently shared photos in the dashboard area. Very cool.

Twitter for Android | Download Now

Twitter for Android - PC Supporter The best app for Twitter is Twitter. Plenty of third-party Twitter apps and social media aggregators have graced the Android Marketplace, some with pretty terrible performance track records, but the one that works best is Twitters own. Starting with version (2.1.2), Twitter for Android adds support for multiple accounts as well as optional push notifications (alerts that appear on your phone similar to an alarm or incoming text message), two features that had been sorely lacking prior to this release. A clean user experience and smart design doesnt hurt either. Best of all, if you dont have a Twitter account and arent interested in joining, you can still use the app to search and read the site.

ooVoo Video Calls | Download Now

ooVoo Video Calls - PC Supporter Stable and reliable video chat apps for Android arent easy to come by, but ooVoo is terrific. The Android video chat app supports group video, voice calls, and instant messaging across iOS, OSX, Android, and Windows! Not only do you get solid Android video calling, but you can practically video chat with anyone.

IMO Instant Messenger | Download Now

IMO Instant Messenger - PC Supporter Multi-purpose instant message apps can falter on mobile phones, crashing frequently or draining the phones battery. While its not perfect, IMO Instant Messenger is by far one of the lesser offenders. Android reason its better than some others is it supports instant messaging across an impressive 11 networks: MSN, Yahoo!, AIM/ICQ, Google Talk, Myspace, Skype, Facebook, Jabber, imo, VKontakte, and Hyves.

Movies App for Android from Flixter | Download Now

Movies App for Android from Flixter - PC Supporter Movies, by Flixster (some people know the app better by the developers name), puts theater times, release dates for movies and DVDs, film reviews, and trailers in the palm of your hand. If, for example, you need to know the exact date that A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas will be hitting theaters, Movies can confirm the November 4, 2011, release. By default, the app pulls movie ratings from Rotten Tomatoes, although you can override this feature if perhaps you dont think The 400 Blows deserves a 100 percent critics approval rating. Youd be wrong, but you can do it.

Angry Birds for Android | Download Now

Angry Birds for Android - PC Supporter Theres just no denying that Angry Birds has been the hit game across mobile devices. The casual puzzle game challenges you to destroy structures by flinging crotchety little birds at it using a giant slingshot. The franchise has dozens of titles, like Angry Birds Rio and Angry Birds Seasonal, but the original Angry Birds is the one to download to your Android phone first. (Also see The Best Free Android Games.)

Words with Friends Free | Download Now

Words with Friends Free - PC Supporter The Scrabble-like game from Zynga, Words with Friends, is among the most popular mobile social games around. If you own an Android phone but your friends are on other devices, such as iPhones or iPads, you can still challenge them to head-to-head wordplay, as it doesnt matter on which platform your opponents are playing. While some Android users have reported stability problems with the game, Words with Friends is in such high demand that most people will grin and bear it, especially since its free.

Kindle for Android | Download Now

Kindle for Android - PC Supporter Read books, magazines, and newspapers right on your Android phone without ever buying an e-reader. The Kindle app is by far the most popular reading app in the Android Marketplace because it gives you access to buy or download for free hundreds of thousands of books, and more than 100 different newspapers and magazines. And while some users have complained that they cant uninstall Kindle once theyve downloaded the app, it is possible (but it takes a little effort).

NOOK for Android by B&N | Download Now

NOOK for Android by B&N - PC Supporter Anti-Amazon book lovers might prefer an app by Barnes & Noble for reading on their Android phones. NOOK and Kindle largely do the same thing (give you access to an impressive library of books newspapers, magazines, and other things to read), although their interfaces and experiences are different. Whether you like Amazon or B&N is largely a matter of personal preference. The NOOK feels a little more graceful in its design, whereas the Kindle app looks more utilitarian.

Pandora Internet Radio for Android | Download Now

Pandora Internet Radio for Android - PC Supporter Of the music streaming apps available to Android phone owners Pandora steals hearts for having very good quality streaming even over a 3G signal. Newcomers to the Android arena, including Slacker Radio and Spotify, are earning more and more market share every day, but Pandora tends to be the most reliable, likely because it has a longer history running on Android.

FxCamera App for Android | Download Now

FxCamera App for Android - PC Supporter Not every smartphone running Android has a great camera, so get better photos with the help of software. FxCamera adds filters and effects, like toy and fisheye lens, to enhance even modest pictures. It also helps to arm yourself with some additional tips for getting better photos from your phone.

ESPN Score Center for Android | Download Now

ESPN Score Center for Android - PC Supporter ESPNs free app lets you check the game quickly, and discreetly when necessary (with your phone under the dinner table, (for example). Sports fans of all stripes will find this app useful; it covers more sports types than most other sports and news apps out there. It can pull game data from baseball, basketball, American football, the sport the rest of the world calls football (soccer), ice hockey, cricket, rugby, and more. For stat lovers, ScoreMobile is a fine option, but only if it has the sport you follow, as it misses a few, like rugby and boxing.
